I appreciate the generous and kind encouraging remarks that readers have sent to me. They make me feel confident that it was right for me to write the book. I now know that I was not mistaken in believing that most people care and that most people are willing to try to understand those of us who are unable to possess their mentalities. I am also pleased to hear that folks wish for better understanding of civic and political issues.

Illinois: Your book touched a cord deeply within me. I admire the honesty, the depth, and the intelligence of your memoir.

Canada:  Your book is so good-a beautifully told story that makes it difficult to stop reading. All who read this amazing journey of life will learn so much.

Kentucky: Thanks for sharing and teaching me so much. I am always eager to learn.

Florida: I picked up a copy of your book last night and then could not put it down until I read the whole book. Your writing is so descriptive that I plan to share it with students as examples of various writing skills.

North Carolina:  Your book is so enlightening. It should be very helpful to those who need better understanding of mental problems.

California:  I have just finished reading your book. Once I started it, I could not put it down. I believe E. Fuller Torrey is “Voice of  Reason”. I can now add you to that list when it comes to views on our judicial and social service systems. Thank you for writing this informative heart-wrenching book.

Virginia: I want to take a moment to tell you how much I enjoyed reading Possessed Mentalities. I have lived in the Shenandoah Valley area most of my life. I found the book to be a wonderful history lesson of the area. Thank you for sharing the events of your life.

Florida: Your story is powerful and truly does educate people on the importance of taking medications when needed; of always looking for signs that something is not quite right; and always advocating and using our powers to vote.

Kentucky: Just wish to thank you for writing Possessed Mentalities. It is very informative and helpful.

Virginia: I bought your book, read some of it in the car going home, and finished it that night. You hold the reader in the palm of your hand.

Maryland: Your book is fascinating, and considering the tragedies that you  have endured, I am in awe of your inner strength and resourcefulness.

I, Maxene Obenschain Kleier, am a book peddler. I promised my daughter Jackie before she died that I would be a peddler for the rest of my life. She wished for everyone to understand her schizophrenic illness so others might suffer less. I will help her in this endeavor as long as possible.

I have a Top Performance award for Possessed Mentalities, my first book --a memoir, designated as Editor’s Choice and Reader’s Choice.

I, an ninty year old volunteer lobbyist-advocate-activist, am qualified to speak with credibility to readers about mental illness and current societal and political issues of concern. My mission is to offer self-help in an educational multifaceted book.

Possessed Mentalities is TRUE. Unvarnished facts are simply told to help readers make rational decisions when they respond to life experiences.
